Don W. Danz

Don W. Danz became associated with Secrest, Hill & Butler at the beginning of 2002, after practicing with private law firms in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and as in-house counsel with an Oklahoma based insurance company. He is experienced in insurance defense as well as coverage and bad faith issues, and now concentrates on related legal research, motion/brief writing and appellate practice. He also handles a variety of transactional, contract and tax related matters.

Don was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1992. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, and the United States Tax Court. He was previously admitted to practice in the Sates of Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri.

Don received an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of Illinois, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas city. He was previously Chairperson of the Oklahoma Bar Association's Tax Section and founding editor of the section's Tax Journal.
